the normal academic schedule.
Persons
desiring to enroll in ESL Bible College must make
application to the Admissions Office. Application forms may
be obtained upon request. The applicant must complete the
application and submit it along with a bust photo and proper
fees.
1.
All applicants will be individually evaluated. Persons
enrolling are required to give testimony of having accepted
the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour.
2.
Transcripts of all previous high school, college, and
seminary work must be sent to the Office of Records.
Transfer
Credits
Evaluation
of transfer credits is made only from official transcripts
after the student has been accepted for admission. Students
from recognized schools will receive full credit for
equivalent courses if the grades are "C" or better
and if the content of the courses meet the requirements of
the student’s program.
Advanced
Standing - Transfer Credits
An
applicant may be given advanced standing through credit
transfer from another recognized college or seminary. Such
advanced standing shall in no instance preclude a minimum of
16 semester hours credit of study with ESL Bible College.
Credit
for Life Experience
ESL
Bible College recognizes that a large portion of the
learning process takes place outside of the traditional
classroom. On-the-job training is a common approach in
professions such as carpentry, iron work, plumbing, etc. A
person begins as an apprentice, then a journeyman, and
finally a master. These steps are very much like attending
college and obtaining a Bachelor degree, then a Master and
finally a Doctorate.
ESL
Bible College grants credit for life experience that
demonstrates knowledge and skill in relevant areas of
experience.
ESL
Bible College may grants up to six (6) semester hours credit
for each year spent in full-time Christian service up to 64
credits. It is the philosophy of ESL Bible College that if
one has obtained the necessary skills in the field of
ministry he should be able to obtain college or seminary
credit for this knowledge.
One
may receive up to six (6) semester hours credit for each
year spent in full-time Christian service, up to 64 credits.
The number of credits given for one’s life learning
experience will be determined by the college after receiving
the applicant’s work history and previous college
training. In no case will an applicant be issued a degree or
diploma without having completed at least 16 credits of work
through ESL Bible College. Should one desire this type
credit, the applicant should complete the application for
life credits and submit it along with the appropriate fee.
If the evaluation is acceptable to the student and he
enrolls, the fee will be applied to the overall cost of the
program.
Credit
for Full-time Service
A ministry
student who is working under a full-time evangelist, pastor,
school administrator or missionary as an intern, may obtain
credit for his learning experience. The intern student
should have his mentor, (the man for whom he is working),
write a letter to ESL Bible College explaining the
student’s activities and effectiveness.
